Taurean J. Royal developed his passion for both acting and directing through years of studying the craft. He appears in a leading role in his first feature film, Then There Was You. He directed the film, The John Marcus Project, a documentary about an African American high school student involved in a horrific car accident leaving him paralyzed. He continues to write and direct films while also writing songs.

Leading Role "Shandre"

Lashawnda Batts-Bowser has been involved in acting, singing, and dancing since a young age under the tutelage of many amazing teachers. An alumna of Florida A&M University with two degrees in Theatre Performance and Psychology, she served as the resident choreographer for FAMU's Essential Theatre program for four years. She has performed works for Garth Fagan, Debbie Allen, and many other talented artists. Lashawnda's works includes For Colored Girls, Dreamgirls, Aida, Joe Turner's Come and Gone, Ain't Misbehavin' and many more. This is Lashawnda's first feature film.

Jerel Tyrone Miller (Brian) is an actor born and raised in Miami, Florida. He started his thespian journey all the way back to his middle school days at Southwood Middle School. His love for the theatre and acting followed him all the way to college in where he attended Florida State University and obtained a B.F.A. (Bachelors of Fine Arts) degree in Theatre/Acting. His previous works include The Love of the Nightingale (Male Chorus), The Full Monty (Horse), Colonial (Travis), and Nigga, Nigga, Nigga (Terrence). Then There Was You is Mr. Miller's first full length feature film.

Markeshia Luree Gorden

Supporting Role "Michelle"

Markeshia Luree Gorden is a playwright, director, producer, actress, leader, visionary, teacher, and ambassador for theater and film. She attended and graduated from Florida A&M University in 2010, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Shortly after graduation, Gorden founded MLG Productions, Inc., a nonprofit theater and film production organization. At that time, she also wrote, produced, and directed her first stage play, This Time For Real (2011)

As Founder & Producing Director of MLG Productions, Inc., Ms. Gorden has created additional partnerships with the Leon County School Board, United Way of the Big Bend, and Boys and Girls Club of the Big Bend. Additionally, Markeshia was offered an acting and modeling contract by Model and Talent, Inc., where she will take her career and knowledge to the next level.

Automotive Service Technician on duty, Shareed Ross was given the opportunity to be on the set of a film while at work. His upbeat, energetic spirit landed him face-to-face with a film producer who asked him to audition for a role. To his surprise, he was cast as a supporting actor in his first feature film, which led him to develop a passion for acting. His role models include Eddie Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Chris Tucker, and Kevin Hart.
